Gregory keeps busy while movie on hold

As the New Kerala reports in their exclusive interview with the author, Gregory is keeping busy with a number of projects in the downtime away from the movie. Not least is the completion of his sequel to Shantaram, and also a Bollywood movie he scripted:

Roberts said, ”I am currently penning scripts both for Hollywood and Bollywood films.” When asked about his genre of interest, the writer, who ”is writing so much” replied, ”I have penned scripts ranging from the typical Bollywood romantic comedies to horror, drama and science fiction.” ”A Bollywood film, based on one of my scripts, might be out by the end of 2010,” he shared.

The website also confirms what we know about the movie being shelved, but interestingly notes the project could see the light by 2011 (we previously reported this date, but cannot confirm this is true in light of recent reports about the state of the movie).

    I’m happy for Gregory David Roberts. It’s a little sad about the delaying of the movie, however, I’m really anticipating the release and reading of THE MOUNTAIN SHADOW.
    By the way, can we please know to which Hindi film has Gregory written the script to? I would want to watch that film.
    I don’t live in India (and download Hindi films to watch them— ssshhh!! I didn’t type that! Lol!) so I’d really appreciate having the name of the movie so I’ll be able to see it or have it sent to me by my relatives in India.

    I, too, would like to know the title of the Bollywood film that Roberts scripted. I am a great fan of Bollywood films, though a native of Los Angeles, now living in North Carolina. I’ve seen “Veer-Zaara”, “Dil Chata Hai” and several others all the way back to “Patanjali”.

    In addition, I wait with bated breath the release of “The Mountain Shadow”. If it is even half as good as “Shantaram”, I’ll be smitten. So, when can we expect that publication date? Does anyone monitor and view these emails?
